My friend says he was born premature and his adult teeth never formed. has anyone ever heard of that?

I doubt it has anything or very little to do with being born premature. The very first sign of teeth formation are at 6 weeks in utero. It is just a dental anomaly. If he is looking for options, he could get crowns on those baby teeth depending how the roots are and implants (since he should have only 20 teeth if he still has his baby teeth) for the first and second molars.

Yes I%26#039;ve heard of it. My husbands cousin has that problem he had to get false teeth as soon as all his baby teeth fell out. Its unusual but true.
Reply:im 27 and i still have a baby tooth... i also, didnt have two of my adult teeth. when my baby teeth fell out had to get bridges
Reply:I have never heard of that. If it has happened to people, i seriously doubt that it has anything to do with being premature as everyone I know who was born prem have matured in to fully functioning adults with the full amount of teeth and normal height. It is more likely to be a genetic disorder.
