About 4- 4 1/2 months puppies begin to lose the front tiny teeth on the top and bottom. About 5-6 months the canine (fangs) teeth start to fall out. After that the molars start to push in and that%26#039;s when the dog needs lots of good teething equipment.


This is a hard time for puppies and harder on their owners. Puppies will chew on anything including our hand, ankles or our good furniture. This is not being hateful, it is just trying to help the new teeth come in.


Hang in there , the second teeth are usually all in by the time they are 9 months.

An adult set has forty-two teeth: twenty-two on the lower jaw (mandible) and twenty on the upper jaw (maxilla). Twelve incisors, four canines, sixteen pre-molars, and four molars on the upper jaw, and six more on the lower jaw.





If you notice your puppy hasn%26#039;t started losing its baby teeth by 6 months I would bring it up to your vet (if they don%26#039;t notice it first).
