How long does it take for a dog to get it's adult teeth?

He is a half collie half blue heeler about 35 lbs and 1 year old. Has it already happened?

You will often miss teething in puppies. The teeth are either swallowed or lost outside. The process usually is complete by the end of the 8th month. It can start as early as 6 months, but the average is about 7 months of age.

Your puppy should already have all of his adult teeth. Be sure to brush them and feed dry food. Dental disease is one of the leading causes of medical complications in pets today.
Reply:with mine it took about a year (12 months) but for ur dog it could take more
Reply:It has probably happened already. Most dogs will have their adult teeth in around 7 to 8 months of age.
Reply:Pups usually lose their teeth at about 4-6 months. If your dog still has deciduous teeth at 1 year old they probably will not fall out on their own and may need to be extracted by your vet.
