A grown up adult can have a set of maximum 32 teeth?

I would like to know, what is the minimun number of teeth that an adult can have?

A grown up adult can have a set of maximum 32 teeth?
Most people have 28 teeth + 4 wisdom teeth that grow in late or dont grow in at all or grow in wedged next to the teeth already there and need to be extracted. So most people will only have 28 teeth.

There are rare cases where people have extra teeth, called supernumerary teeth, or might even be missing a few teeth.

Reply:I don%26#039;t officially know, but I am 30 and only have 28. I have never had any wisdom teeth.
Reply:maximum 32, minimum zero.
Reply:HI YVONNE,

SOME PATIENTS ARE BORN W/O WISDOM TEETH. YET SOME ARE BORN W/O CANINES OR LATERAL INCISORS. THEN, THERE ARE THOSE WHO DON%26#039;T HAVE THEIR PERMANENT BICUSPIDS.

SO YOU SEE THERE ARE MANY VERY INDIVIDUAL OUTCOMES. THERE IS EVEN A VERY RARE CONDITION WHERE PEOPLE NEVER DEVELOP ANY OF THE COMMON ADULT TEETH.

AT A MINIMUM A PATIENT SHOULD HAVE MOLARS TO CHEW WITH AND INCISORS TO BITE INTO FOODS.
Reply:I think it varies from person to person, for example I had 32 but my wisdoms came out and my boyfriend has 30 and I%26#039;m pretty sure hes had his wisdoms pulled so. .it varies
Reply:yes, an adult can have 32 teeth - or - 28 depending on the appearance of wisdom teeth..

some adults may have fewer due to genetic factors.. permanent teeth do not form and primary teeth are retained

also, some people have extra teeth called %26quot;supernumerary%26quot;
